The stadium is well-known for its ring-shaped facade, which was designed to shade spectators from the sun, and increase the grandeur of the stadium. With a retractable roof, a 130m high arch and 10,000 seats, Gelora Bung Reno looks so magestic. The design of the stadium is both functional and architecturally significant. The Stadium opened to the public on 29 August 2007.
